To help prepare for life after high school, you will complete a web-quest to assess your personality and interests to match possible colleges and careers. You will then further research two colleges, a college and career, or a college and a branch of the military. You will compare them to determine the requirements, majors, and costs to help you decide and plan for after high school.
STEP 1: College and Career Web-quest for Junior Portfolio:
Follow the directions in the web-quest to visit the websites and fill out your Career Planning Guide as you go. Be sure to use as much detail as possible, the Career Planning Guide will be included in your Junior Portfolio as evidence of your college and career research.
You will need a working email address, use your Sweetwaterschools.net email address.
For some of the websites you visit you must create an account to take their career and college interest surveys. For each site you visit, record your user name and password on your Career Planning Guide!!
STEP 2: College and/or Career Comparison Presentation
Choose to use Google Slides or Prezi for this project.
Choose two of the colleges you reviewed during your web-quest to research more closely. You may also choose to compare one college to one career, one junior college to a four year college, or one college to a branch of the military.
